SGA FORUMS COMMITTEE (sfc)

The responsibilities of the SFC include the following:

  • Collaborating with other parts of the broader university to host forums.
  • Planning the structure, date, time, and location of forums.
  • Identifying possible speakers and topics for forums.
  • Developing awareness of forums on campus by engaging the student body with creative marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinating volunteers for forums.
  • Working with the Office of the Dean of the Chapel when necessary.

Academic Affairs Committee (AAC)

The responsibilities of the AAC include the following:

  • Reviewing proposals which have come before the Academic Affairs Council.
  • Ascertaining the Assembly’s position on the proposals brought by the VPAA.
  • Considering the long-term effects of the proposals to the Student Life Council.
    • The AAC functions as an oversight committee.
      • No decisions which come from the AAC are binding, but they serve as strong indicators for the VPAA.
  • Forming university policy proposals for the VPAA to present to the appropriate Academic Committee.
  • Researching other CCCU university policies for creative solutions to problems, needs, and desires which the student body have expressed to SGA.

campus spiritual life committee (cslc)

the responsibilities of the cslc include the following:

  • Reviewing proposals which have come before the Spiritual Life Committee.
  • Gathering feedback about Chapel and other spiritual activities on campus.
  • Ascertaining the Assembly’s position on the proposals brought by the VPSL.
  • Considering the long-term effects of the proposals to the Spiritual Life Committee.
    • The CSLC functions as an oversight committee.
      • No decisions which come from the CSLC are binding, but they serve as strong indicators for the VPSL.
  • Forming university policy proposals for the VPSL to present to the Spiritual Life Committee.
  • Researching other CCCU university policies for creative solutions to problems, needs, and desires which the student body have expressed to SGA.
  • Working with the Spiritual Life Committee and the Office of the Dean of the Chapel when necessary.

student groups committee (SGC)

the responsibilities of the sgc include the following:

  • Hearing student club presentations from student club leaders in a timely manner.
  • Establishing clear qualifications for whether student groups are considered a student club or an academic organization.
  • Developing the rules and regulations which govern student clubs.
  • Considering the longevity and viability of student clubs within SGA.
    • Recognizing student clubs which excel in their missions.
    • Identifying potentially at-risk student clubs.
  • Reviewing and approving the applications of new student clubs to be sent to the Student Life Council for final approval.
  • Assisting potential student clubs with developing and proposing their Constitution.
  • Working with the Student Life Council when necessary.

STUDENT BUDGET COMMITTEE (sbc)

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SBC INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Approving student club budget requests in a timely manner.
    • The SBC may amend budget requests once they are proposed by the VPFA.
  • Hearing the student club financial presentations of each student club leader in a timely manner.
  • Approving SGA Grant requests.
  • Developing the rules and regulations which govern student club finances.
  • Considering the longevity and viability of student clubs within SGA.
    • Recognizing student clubs which excel in their managing their finances.
    • Identifying potentially at-risk student clubs.
  • Assisting potential student clubs with developing and requesting their budgets.
  • Working with the Student Life Council when necessary.

MARKETING & COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE (MCC)

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MCC INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Developing innovative marketing campaigns for student groups on campus.
  • Gathering feedback about marketing campaigns conducted on campus.
  • Discussing the ways in which various student groups market their brand.
  • Improving the brand awareness of student clubs on campus.
    • The MCC functions as an oversight committee.
      • No decisions which come from the MCC are binding, but they serve as strong indicators for the VPMC.
  • Partnering on broader marketing campaigns for campus-wide events, meetings, and initiatives.

CAMPUS STUDENT ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE (Csac)

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CSAC INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Gathering feedback about activities, events, and initiatives on campus.
  • Planning the logistics of activities, events, and initiatives on campus.
  • Coordinating volunteers for activities, events, and initiatives on campus.
  • Proposing new ideas for activities, events, and initiatives on campus.

CONSTITUTION & BYLAWS COMMITTEE (CBC)

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CBC INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Reviewing, amending, formatting, and approving amendments to the Constitution.
  • Reviewing, amending, formatting, and approving amendments to the Bylaws.
  • Proposing amendments approved by the CBC to the Assembly.

STUDENT LIFE COMMITTEE (slc)

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SLC INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Reviewing proposals which have come before the Student Life Council.
  • Ascertaining the Assembly’s position on the proposals brought by the President.
  • Considering the long-term effects of the proposals to the Student Life Council.
    • The SLC functions as an oversight committee.
      • No decisions which come from the SLC are binding, but they serve as strong indicators for the President and other members of the Student Life Council.
  • Forming university policy proposals for the President to present to the Student Life Council.
  • Researching other CCCU university policies for creative solutions to problems, needs, and desires which the student body have expressed to SGA.
  • Working with the Student Life Council when necessary.
